    .

For sure. No doubt from a tactical stand point he's one of the best managers in the world. His personality just does not wear well with players/personnel over the course of more than a few seasons.

Interesting as most of the things I've seen this morning (other places, not here) has the blame placed mostly on the players, not Jose, saying this isn't his fault, the players did it, etc.

As an intermediate manager he'd be perfect. He's not a bad manager, just limited, but he'd provide what we need right now; attack minded, familiar with the club, wouldn't be afraid to clear out players who shouldn't be there, and would let us finally see if our youth are as good as they are touted to be.

I wouldn't want him as a permanent solution, but I wouldn't mind giving him a year or so with our squad. Jokes aside, he's still a good manager, and would serve a purpose until we decide if we want to go all in for Carlo/Pep or gamble again on an "up and coming" manager.

No chance LVG is fired this season. That would be admitting they hired the wrong guy twice in a row.

The players definitely deserve more blame than the media is giving them, which is about zero, but Jose surely can't be blameless in this debacle. I still would have liked to us to let him see out the season, but Roman is gonna Roman.

Paris Saint-Germain. Blanc keeps wetting the bed in the champions league.

I wonder if the Evie Carniero situation really pissed off a lot of players in the locker room. Maybe that explains why the guys don't care. But yeah, I've never seen so many World Class players go down the crapper so bad in a few months.

Speaking of her I wonder what Chelsea will do about this. Will they just pay her off? Mourinho gets his 40 million payoff minus the Eva payoff since he is to blame for the whole debacle?

Pep seems destined for City at this point after his Bayern deal runs up at the end of the season—especially if, as expected, he announces it will indeed be his last year in the coming week.

Although it's not like that's any better for competitors of City.

I saw an article a couple days ago claiming that she actually wants to come back if she wins her case, which is being heard in January.

I'd rather have Pep at City/United than watch my team get stomped by a revenge-fueled Mourinho 2-4 times per season.

That was definitely the start. I don't think there's any question about it. And it wasn't even about the way that all that stuff went down during the match. It was his doubling-down in the media and then eventually sacking her. It's quite amazing how poorly he judged that situation. He might have picked the absolute worst person in the organization to make a point with.

But it's also not the only thing. It snowballed from there with some poor results and a refusal to drop underperforming players.
