Watched the game at a bar with a Man U friend. It was a very satisfying 2nd half.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

I mean look at the defending on these goals Newcastle allowed. Rafa didn't know what he was getting himself into

Spurs are playing at times very attractive football. I love the direct changing sides and their through balls down the middle. Their defense, despite their great stats, is lacking imo and they're lucky they haven't conceded many goals.Comment

That's a bit harsh, more like dribbled—I'd hardly call it walking...(watches replay)...yeah he pretty much walked right through.Last edited by Krebstar; 04-12-2016, 09:01 AM.Comment

Kind of feel bad for Janmaat honestly. He's the best player on the team by a mile, and very clearly the only one who puts forth anything resembling effort, and he has to deal with that dumpster fire of a team every single week.Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
Wijnaldum is their best player I think and I really don't rate Janmaat, he's the best of a terrible defence but being the best defender in this Newcastle team is nothing to be proud of.
Newcastle are to me, and they have been for years, a team made of players who when they're on their best form could beat any team in the league but that happens twice a year at most and they end up battling relegation instead. There are rarely any classy players in a Newcastle team, Wijnaldum this season and Ayoze last aside. They're just mentally weak, they don't show up to their own Derby which is ludicrous because they always have a better squad than Sunderland but they haven't beaten them in 9 games.

Newcastle's main problem is that players go there in an attempt to get noticed by bigger clubs and use Newcastle as a stepping stone. Any game vs the big teams gets major TV coverage, hence Newcastle mostly only showing up against big teams.
Joke ends up being on them, as they rarely get picked up by bigger clubs because they are seen as inconsistentComment

Well, it would have been kind of insulting to their players to have to give the award to Goalpost - the only thing that truly stopped goals from being scored against them.Comment
