You know Man City will have chances, good on Everton to have some quality opportunities of their own.

Feels good to finally get a win. Excited about Pedro. The back 4 still needs work. Also, can we stop getting red cards.

I've never really paid attention to Stones but if this game is any indication, I understand why Chelsea is pursuing so aggressively. He's a really confident defender. What is he, 21 years old?

Howard always cheats away from his near post. Sometimes it really bites him.

I predict a late Naismith equalizer.

Not sure where he was going there...literally nowhere for the ball to go in but where it did and if he just stood there, he stops it. Unfortunate, he's played great to this point.

He's definitely a talent, and I'd love to have him at some point, but it's hilarious how many people sleep on Zouma. The amount of composure it takes to start some really big games for a team like Chelsea at 19 years old and play like he has so far. Kid hardly makes any mistakes most games he plays, in a team with more pressure than any Everton player will ever have to deal with.

I'm so amped about Zouma, this kid is looking like the real deal.

Still Cahill is turning 30, this year. So he is going to start declining soon. So they need someone to play alongside Zouma.

I almost expect Zouma to do well at this point. He's way ahead of the curve.

A Zouma - Stones potential partnership with Courtois in goal for the next decade sounds ok to me.

I really think that's a big part of it, you just kind of expect him to do well because it's easy to forget how young he is. He just doesn't look his age, nor does he play like it, so he ends up never getting mentioned alongside these young defenders everybody gets hyped up about.

Kid is a legitimate phenom though.

Do people legit think Everton will sell Stones? They haven't sold Leighton Baines in all these years, so I don't see why Stones would get sold. Unless he's desperate to leave.

Definitely impressive but different circumstances. Everton has always put a high asking price on Baines, which means the only clubs that could afford him are the top 4 clubs. Up until very recently, United had Evra, Chelsea had Cole, City has both Kolarov and Clichy. Basically, all the top teams didn't really need left backs, and why would you spend that much money on a depth LB signing for a player looking to be a starter?

Everton will sell Stones eventually as long as interest from the top clubs stays high. A club like Everton would be silly to turn down a 45 mil+ bid for Stones.

Man, EPL refs suck at the offside rule.

Chambers and Gabriel starting at CB...my nerves can not handle this.

Nice save and all by Cech, but Benteke simply has to bury that.
