England football just keeps outdoing itself. This isn't even the first time a manager was asked to leave due to a journalism sting!

I'm not absolving Sam his part, but what the **** is with the English press constantly trying to sabotage their national team?!

Who are the serious contenders for the actual replacement? I haven't seen any names as of now. Who is out there lurking? Anyone currently at a club who seems like they could make the jump?

            I need speculation!

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread

It's funny. A lot of England supporters really want Klinsmann, and a lot of US supporters really want Klinsmann to leave.

Steve Bruce might be more likely than Pardew simply because he doesn't have a job right now. And obviously Southgate can win the job if England look great in those 4 matches.

The bookies have it like this as of yesterday:

                  Alan Pardew 3/1
                  Steve Bruce 6/1
                  Eddie Howe 8/1
                  Glenn Hoddle 10/1
                  Gareth Southgate 10/1
                  Jurgen Klinsmann 14/1
                  Alan Shearer 20/1
                  Arsene Wenger 22/1
                  Slaven Bilic 25/1
                  Roberto Mancini 25/1
                  Gary Neville 25/1
                  Harry Redknapp 25/1
                  Vincente Del Bosque 25/1
                  David Moyes 30/1
                  Claudio Ranieri 30/1

But we won't really start to see the speculation fly until after that break in November when they really start the search.

What do you think would be the English appointment that would bring the most laughs? I'd say Gary Neville.

If this was directed at my post, I was saying Steve Bruce doesn't have a job - he walked out on Hull a couple weeks before the season. You may have misread my sentence there.

If the FA came calling, I have to think Pardew would very strongly consider leaving CP.

I mean, compared to England it's obviously way more mellow here. However, the number of "fire Klinsmann" thinkpieces that pop up every time something goes somewhat wrong shows that we might just be arriving on the world scene.

Last manager on that list who would leave his current job in the middle of a season. Not because of the job itself, but because of who it is. Arsene wouldn't leave Dag & Red in the middle of the season if he has a contract with them. Stupid to put him on the list.

Bob Bradey in at Swansea as they sack Guidolin.

Swansea City sack Francesco Guidolin as head coach and replace him with former United States manager Bob Bradley.
