I assume they’ll sign a “name” for their manager vacancy, and bring in a few more players in their late twenties.

They need to seriously follow Leicester City’s lead—well, lots of clubs their size need to.

It looks like Conte to Spurs is almost a done deal.

Gets them out of the ECL ASAP and wins the league. Look out, England.

But seriously...ridiculous. He'll heavily clash with Levy, he's the opposite of a long-term plan, and the football they'll play will aggravate supporters the second they're not winning.

I can't wait for everyone to think this is a new beginning for Spurs, and for how they'll run the club. Get a ****ing grip.

It’s a bad fit for the same reasons that Jose was a bad fit there but if you can attract the kind of high profile manager that Conte is you almost have to.

If they wanted to think outside of the box and get someone that fits the “Spurs style” they should look at Gasperini.

Exciting attacking football and he’s built Atalanta into a top 4 side in Italy with a modest budget at that.

So very true. The problem is that if you can and do attract him, you have to do more than that, and we all know that Spurs will not. By all means, if you can hire Conte right now, you hire him. But if you hire him and don't give him what he needs...well, then you're Spurs, because that's what they'll do.

Conte expected to make a decision by Monday. Doesn’t seem convinced that he wants the Spurs experience.

Considering he just left Inter because they wanted to sell players and not spend money to replace them... I wouldn't be convinced either.

Looks like Barca is keeping Koeman, at least for another season. He did the bare minimum of keeping them competitive in La Liga and getting them out of the group in the CL. Winning the Copa is a bonus. Not bad considering the circumstances the club finds itself in.

Lol pretty good for Lazio that they lose Inzaghi to Inter and get an upgrade in manager.

So Paulo Fonseca to Spurs? I think he's a fine manager, but to replace Mourinho with a guy who Mourinho just replaced is bizarre optics.

Feels like a treading water move, and Spurs should be doing the opposite of that.

I don't mind the appointment if it happens. What other options did Spurs have? A big name manager who wants the club to spend money won't work at Spurs so someone on the level of Potter/Fonseca makes the most sense.

Reminds me of the Poch appointment from Southampton. Not many thought he would be good. He was known for his attacking style and working with things players.

Fonseca has never had big backing, he likes to play attacking, he prefers playing younger players (before his Roma days) and is willing to listen to a DoF. Something Spurs have needed since Mitchell left.

I don't know if he will work or not. But I'm more excited for him than I was about the possibility of Conte. A few articles like the one below give me hope, stats showing if it wasn't for injuries and terrible finishing, Roma would have been much better.

He's basically a foreign Potter. Who I wanted originally.

Gennaro Gattuso quits Fiorentina after just 3 weeks.

Just enough time for that first direct deposit check to hit lol.

In all seriousness, he disagreed over “transfer budgets” which makes no sense to me because I would expect Fiorentina’s budget to be less than 5 mil

Transfer budget seems like something you should discuss before taking the job.
