I hope the appeal gets accepted and then Kane beats Salah to the golden boot by a single goal, preferably a penalty won as a result of a dive.

    Chaos is a ladder.

But Christian Eriksen out of spite is whistled for encroachment resulting in a retake and he misses. Justice is served.

Goal was officially given to Kane. Let the outrage begin!

The appeal was weird in the first place, and Spurs fans have been pretty bad as well. Then you have Liverpool fans getting legitimately upset, like, Spurs are getting United-level hate from Liverpool which is embarrassing in itself. Liverpool players commenting on twitter and Kane campaigning for himself, so bizarre and almost entirely uncalled for.

This whole thing has been a shameful embarrassment all around tbh, and easily one of the dumbest "sagas" we've had in a while.

Also, when I speak about the way fans are acting, I'm pretty much never talking about this place. This forum is probably one of the most pleasant discussion zones I've ever encountered on the internet.

When asked post game about the goal Christian Eriksen was quoted as saying he didn't care if it will be awarded to Kane. I bet he is really pissed off how the club have campaigned for this. Trying to take a goal away from your OWN teammate. How disrespectful and classless by Harry Kane and by the club. Christian Eriksen must be seething.

I agree with this forum. I stopped going on Twitter and Reddit a month ago and I'm much less angry towards fan bases. Liverpool fans on Reddit made me hate the club more than Arsenal or even Chelsea.

I find this "saga" to be comical how something so small led to debates on shows, fan outrage and millions of replays. Pundits saying it's "good for England to have a hungry striker" to others saying "hes selfish with his team." All over a goal that doesn't matter who it's awarded to to anyone but Kane.

I understand why Kane wanted it. I wish he didn't appeal for it but if it's worth thousands of pounds to his contact, I can't blame him.

As for OS, this is the only forum I have been on where I can disagree/argue with someone and then an hour later be talking with them on something new with no bad feelings. That's why this place is nice.

I really can't see Eriksen caring. If he would have said something about it being his goal, the club wouldn't have supported it. But you can't blame Spurs for wanting to keep the best player in their recent history happy. Any club would have done it.

What's really happening here is Eriksen has an assist clause and Kane has a goals clause. Spurs trying to keep their players happy so they don't turn their heads at the big Spanish contracts.

They have to do more than that to keep him happy long term. Dany Levy just got a payrise. That must have been a kick in the teeth. Kane is making £110,000-a-week. Yaya Toure makes double that.

This is probably one of the dumbest things I don't care about that so many people seem to be irrationally angry about.

                          Legitimately, this is very plausible.

Also, considering Eriksen’s personality, I really have a hard time imagining he cares even a little bit about giving up a goal for Kane.

PREMIER LEAGUE VOTE AGAINST USING VAR

Premier League clubs have voted against the introduction of VAR in the top-flight next season.

They will seek further testing of the technology in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup first.

Good, wait until the system as is close to perfect as you can before implementing it into league games.
