    Neat.

Better than current Arsenal yes but definitely not better than some of Arsene’s best squads there which is the point Brahv is trying to make (correct me if I’m wrong Brahv).

    Kreb,

Yes I think they should be aiming for trophies, mainly the league but a Top 4 finish IMO is more important than any of the domestic cups. I’d trade a potential FA Cup trophy this year for 4th place in a heartbeat.

I'm saying nothing about history, I'm saying we are making excuses about why it's okay the current Spurs team isn't winning Silverware.

The history provides the context though.

Arsenal is expected to compete for trophies because that's what they've done pretty regularly for over 100 years.

Spurs only just became competent in the last few years.

So? It's been a fair number of years since we've sniffed the title, and aside from the now absolutely meaningless FA Cups we've not put up much of a fight elsewhere. I'd say Spurs have been better in most senses since 2014. Recent history should show that Spurs should be winning more than Arsenal are. What happened 10-15+ years ago shouldn't matter in the context of now, what should matter is what's been happening.

Either way the most important part is that now people agree with Wenger about his 4th place trophy, it's apparently a coveted piece of not silverware.

I'd just like to say that I cannot believe that we're approaching 40 posts on what is basically the question "How much should we make fun of Spurs, and is it fair?"

We need a ****ing title race next year please.

Are the football gods cruel enough to send Wenger on his way out with a defeat to that bitch Mourinho?

                strong agree.

it just can't be spurs because they don't have the history.

                At best it'll be a 0-0 draw.

Don't worry, if Klopp leaves without winning you guys a league title you can count on me to change the conversation.

I have noticed you getting a bit more salty about Liverpool during this CL run. There was a bit too much love from you during that Suarez run a few seasons ago. It's good to be back.

Don't worry if Liverpool don't win CL they will be right there with Spurs getting made fun of for not having a trophy recently even though they are talented. Spurs just get more attention now because of all the Arsenal fans on here.

At least it’s been an actual discussion with point and counter points and not just subpar quips and nonsense. It’s why I come here. It’s like a digital pub.

I also come for the quips, bantz and gifs, don’t get me wrong.

Yeah I dunno if salty is the right word, but maybe it is.

Half my family is English, so I have a lot of friends and family that follow the game, and there are more Liverpool supporters than any other team.

So that definitely plays a role. Its 2018 and I STILL haven’t stopped hearing about the last time you guys won it in freaking 2005. If you win it again there’s like two dozen people I have to completely avoid for at least the entire summer.

I have one friend I see all the time and won't stop talking **** every time Liverpool win any match and then goes on and on about Mourinho and United. He's the the number one reason I don't want them to win anything -- it'll finally give him something relevant to boast about since that night in Istanbul.
