How is Jonjo Shelvey only 25? Feels like he's been around forever. Maybe it's because in all of his matches the announcers feel the need to speak his full name roughly 800 times. Is it because he's English, or do they just think he has a cool name? He ain't that good.

It's the name and also the fact he's liable to do something totally amazing then something totally brainless within 2 minutes of each other. Announcers love themselves a wildcard.

If Newcastle can't stop City then who will?

The title has been decided, but I'm still certain they'll lose at least once to a relegation candidate. Teams will be even hungrier to topple them the longer they go without losing—they're going to have some very tough games ahead just due to the target on their backs growing larger.

I think Liverpool will take points from them, they are always a pain against big teams (so is Klopp in general).

That's their next game that I can see a loss in and not be surprised. Should be a hell of a match.

Yeah one of these matches City isn’t going to get away with playing a combo Delph/Otamendi/Walker/Fernandinho in their back 3.

VVD to Pool was actually a great get since City would have swooped in on him considering Kompany is done IMO.

Props to the Toon Army though. They made it interesting and actually had City looking nervous.

Liverpool does have a receipt to cash in on them and it's at Anfield. But they're so freaking good.

To be fair, all of those players are performing excellently. Delph has been converted into legitimately one of the best fullbacks in the league at the moment, Otamendi has improved a lot this season, the other two are performing as expected (ie. great).

Just hard to see where City will really struggle tbh. Stones will be back soon, VVD to Liverpool likely means City will get Evans who is quality depth. Even Mangala hasn't been completely atrocious this season.

Summer will come and City will likely get someone like Lucas Hernandez/de Vrij/Gimenez etc. Unless they just get them right now.

Arsenal takes all three points from City on Feb. 25 to ensure another season of Wenger

Klopp and Henry might as well shoot their shot and try to get Donnarumma to leave that never-ending tire fire in Milan now.

Out of everything Pep has done, the form he’s gotten out of Stones/Otamendi/Delph/Mangala is the most incredible to me.

I don't think Stones is form though, he's just that good and went through a rough adjustment period combined with the fact that everybody (including the media) hates and resents City so he got nothing but bad press. Even this season, he was arguably the best CB in the league before his injury but you'd never know it.

Delph though is pretty nuts. I mean, in theory it all makes sense. He was always a bit more technically gifted than the average English player and he had decent defensive awareness, but life isn't supposed work like it does in FIFA/FM. You can't just plop a player in a random position they don't play because you think it's a great idea and it actually works out, yet that's basically what Pep did.

I don't believe for a second he's not staying for both years of that two-year contract he signed—regardless of them "evaluating his performance" at the end of the first year.

I do believe that it's his final contract and they're planning for the future based on the recent appointments they've made.
