Just hard to see where City will really struggle tbh. Stones will be back soon, VVD to Liverpool likely means City will get Evans who is quality depth. Even Mangala hasn't been completely atrocious this season.

Summer will come and City will likely get someone like Lucas Hernandez/de Vrij/Gimenez etc. Unless they just get them right now.

Oh no, they’re entire team is on great form right now but at some point I believe their deficiencies will show. It’s like Kompany, no matter how well he’s playing (when he’s 100%), he’s always liable to go diving in at any time. I know Otamendi still has that in him. They just haven’t been put under legit pressure all year.

As good as the defense is playing Pep has turned Sterling into a lethal finisher. Even yesterday he still managed to score despite getting his feet wrong.

Zaha is so good and Townsend looks so weird with hair.

Palace should go at Chambers EVERY time they attack.

Finally, some distance between ourselves and Burnley.

Well, he was a key contributor to a comfortable relegation last season...

I only saw him a few times last year, but from what I read he was often playing fairly well. It wouldn't surprise me that he was playing better at Boro than he his this year due to the type of coaching/preparation, and consistently playing.

I'll never forget when he did an interview and talked about how different preparing for opposition was at Boro compared to Arsenal. The defenders would each receive a "dossier" essentially on the opposing players and an effort was made to have a plan for different teams. He said at Arsenal this never occurred, and they were just told to play their game, do what they always do, etc.

Yeah, I'm excited to see what a new manager and staff can do at Arsenal.

(none of this means he wasn't playing poorly yesterday)

It is true that defense was not their biggest problem last season. I think the staff should have had more dossiers on how to put the ball in the net.

Man, if Adama Traore ever developed end-product he might be the most terrifying player on the planet.

I he developed an end product, he'd be called Mohamed Salah.

He'd likely be a good bit better, but this did get me thinking about who that would be.

Closest I can think of to Salah with no end product would be Aaron Lennon? Trying to compare play styles etc. Deolofeu and Lucas Moura would be decent shouts too I guess.

Lavezzi comes to mind but he’s a better finisher than Deolofeu. Probably on par with Lucas though.

That's probably the best one, his play style is quite similar to Salah as well.

                                Nice one.
