With both Arsenal and Chelsea missing their best players, the two teams were pretty evenly matched imo.

Can't really complain about the result, game was close enough that penalties deciding it was probably fair. Didn't exactly cover ourselves in glory during the shootout but oh well.

It was pretty late in the match, but I was a little surprised Pedro was shown red instead of yellow. It could've ended in a fairly bad injury though, so I get it.

All in all, it was great to see a couple Premier League teams playing a pretty serious match! 5 days til the PL opener!

Red for Pedro was deserved, it was a pretty dumb tackle.

It's quite funny that Arsenal wins a trophy at Tottenham's home ground before Tottenham. Got their pre-season treble too!

I agree it was dumb, but I still thought it was a bit harsh as a straight red.

In the context of the game maybe it was, Bellerin had a pretty much identical tackle on Alonso earlier in the game that he received a yellow for, so in the interest of consistency he probably could have given Pedro a yellow as well.

Still a silly challenge and he was nowhere near the ball, behind the player with studs up. Can't really say I'm too upset about the card.

I thought Bellerin should have picked up his 2nd yellow for impeding the progress of Moses (I think it was him) late in the 2nd half. Pretty much the same thing Alonso was booked for in the 1st half.

The Premier League returns in 4 days! Let's get some predictions, so we can all look back and point fingers at who was right and wrong. Haha. A lot of things will change before the transfer deadline, but you can't have preseason predictions after the season starts.

                            1. Man City
                            2. Chelsea
                            3. Spurs
                            4. Man United
                            5. Liverpool
                            6. Arsenal

                            7. Everton

I have no idea on what teams will get relegated, but I'll go with Burnley, Watford, and Huddersfield Town.

                              1. United
                              2. City
                              3. Chelsea
                              4. Spurs

Hard to argue with Jose's 2nd season track record, though he definitely hasn't had this much competition before.

I'm thinking both Huddersfield and Brighton will go right back down, third relegated team will be either Stoke or West Brom.

Hoping for an Arsenal title and a Spurs relegation.
