Re: The 2017-2018 EPL Discussion Thread
Watford were pretty good, though they clearly were 2nd-best in the 2nd-half. Organised defensively and took their chances in attack at proper moments. Liverpool didn't really get going until the penalty, and they still look quite vulnerable in defence.
Unrelated note: I'm pretty happy doing fantasy football again. Gives me more incentive to watch more matches and be invested.Comment

Safe to assume I lost Direct TV free channels 491-495? Anyone know the cost of Extra Time with Direct TV in the Southeast US?Comment

Vardy is extremely quick he has to be a handful as his first two strides from a standing start are as quick as anyone now playing.Comment

I'm surprised he's playing up top. He's been everywhere on the pitch so far, though.

Pretty stupid since the ref is right there. Looks like an orange card, but can't really complain about the red.Last edited by Leon; 08-12-2017, 10:24 AM.Comment

The orange card...Xhaka had a few of those last year. It will be interesting to watch the evolution of the rules as we progress. Sin bin instead of sending off, perhaps?
After watching the replay of that one over and over I couldn't land on either side. Orange really is the best way to describe it.Comment

Re: The 2017-2018 EPL Discussion Thread
It's a long season, but I'm still baffled not to see Diego Costa on the pitch. I'm not a Premier League expert, but 20 goals and 7 assists don't grow on trees. And he's so good with possession up top. Obviously, the two red cards were the story for Chelsea. But not having Costa doesn't help.
Seeing Man City start a strong lineup that doesn't even include Sterling, B. Silva, Sane, Toure, Mendy (hurt), etc. is insane!
