Re: 2018-19 UEFA Competitions Thread
Still can't believe Celtic bollocks it up against AEK Athens in qualifying. They could have been in Group E potentially.Comment

You're surprised? Really? Didn't they lose to the mighty Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar in qualifying two years ago before rebounding in the home leg?Comment

Re: 2018-19 UEFA Competitions Thread
I like that a lot of top teams are drawn together. 5 groups are very difficult to predict unlike last season where you knew the top 2 in most groups.
PSG v Liverpool
Spurs v Barca
United v Juve
Are the three I look most forward too.

Re: 2018-19 UEFA Competitions Thread
Saw this on the BBC feed. Didn't know they changed the times this year:
The Champions League group stages start on 18 September and run until 12 December.
There is a change this season - with games not being played at 19:45 BST anymore.
Most games will kick off at 20:00 BST, but two group matches every day will start at 17:55 BST - so get ready to leave work quickly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.Comment

I'm pulling for Rangers, they have quickly become one of my favorite teams under Stevie G.

Not very difficult for Arsenal and Chelsea but a lot of traveling.

CSKA is a CL level team and Villarreal usually makes it to the EL quarters and beyond.
Would be cool for Stevie and Rangers, but it would definitely be a huge upset for them to finish higher than 3rd in that group.Comment
