Re: 2018-19 UEFA Competitions Thread
I thought that this year we would be getting less group stage matches but I actually have three to pick from now:
City-Lyon on something called GALAVISION
Juve-Valencia on Univision
Roma-Real on TNT
Not bad at all although two of them are in Spanish

There was a huge stink about how silly it was for them to bring in a "throw-in coach", but in reality, it's a set piece, and there's specialized coaching for everything now. Plus, he's basically a consultant and is not their full-time throw-in coach, just someone who came and will come in and do small sessions, etc. Really smart move.

In other news, Pochettino went full Mourinho (or nearly) in his post-game press conference, citing respect and a load of other nonsense.
I love when managers demand to talk about the game or talk about football, when journalists question his self-titled "tactical decisions" to leave out Trippier and Alderweireld is exactly that—trying to discuss football, why you did it, etc.
People say Spurs need to rest players because of the WC, so then they do and people are shocked when the starters are not playing. It was obvious Toby and Trips needed a rest so leaving them home was the plan.

I know there is plenty of action ongoing currently, but if you have not yet read Jonathan Wilson's piece on the pathetic performance of PSG, you should.

Not watching another City UCL match until they make a final.
So basically never watching a City UCL match againComment

Yeah, you can always appeal. I haven't seen it, but it seems like a lot of people are saying it wasn't a red.Comment

Re: 2018-19 UEFA Competitions Thread
CR7 was making a run in the box and his marker fell over after the slightest of nudges by CR7. Ronaldo then stood over him and kind of touched his head as he was getting up.
I probably could have just found a gif on twitter lolComment

It was pretty weak but idk if UEFA will overturn it.

He tugged the guy's hair when he stood over him. Personally, I'm glad he's finally being punished for something.#LFC

He gets punished fairly often for the bonehead stuff he does. He’s seen red something like 10 times in his career.
