I actually don’t think that was a pen, but I can see how it would be a tough call.

TAA is just sliding to block the shot, but then he’s also in the way preventing a follow up from DCL.

Everton won the Merryside Derby at Anfield? These are crazy times indeed. Everton looked pathetic last week against Fulham and then they pull this off today. This league is full of bipolar clubs.

Hate to reveal that I'm 50 and I've been around here since 2003. Yikes.

You know what I’m going to say. It’s not, just as an attacker’s foot kicking your knee in their back stride isn’t, but they couldn’t even be consistent with the red card.

If we’re playing with silly rules at least let them be consistently silly—please.

right or wrong, i think on the field, with VAR, I'd call a pen every time.

If I spent more than a second at the monitor, I'd probably reverse my decision, but who knows

Terrible call but DCL what was weird to me was how focused DLC was on the shot that he took like 3 steps and tripped over TAA's head. I don't think he was looking for it, just tunnel vision at that moment.

Spurs lose and Jack Grealish is out with an undisclosed injury. I feel joy and I feel pain this morning.

I know it's not easy to ask managers matches before or after a match, but the efforts sometimes are hilarious.

Journalist: Pep, is it possible for you tell us what positions some of those players will be in? Perhaps Sterling in the middle? (paraphrasing mostly)

                    Pep: (smiles) Yes, perhaps.

I guess you have to take your shot when you have it...but come on.

Come on Arsenal, help out just so our uninspired loss later to Newcastle will feel that much more frustrating

Hahahaha a header to Sterling in the box?!

Back to the bench, Rob, for ****s sake.

We hit pathetic at a record pace there.

The biggest credit to City is that when they play, it almost feels as if they have extra players out there. They have such a good fluidity to their style and formation.

Dias gets away with one of the most obvious yellow cards possible. Blatant, retaliatory trip. Just a foul, no card, though, because Jon Moss.

                                1. The entire jarring of his body could affect his neck/head—it wasn’t an incredibly light collision.

                                2. Maybe he just wanted a rest.

Either way, to me there’s a difference between wondering how a challenge affects parts of the body and getting a hand brushed across your face and writhing in pain, which he wasn’t doing.
