Also of note today...Bellerin not one but TWO throw in errors?

Didn't realize I was watching my son's U10 Arsenal Juniors. Good grief.

Yeah I don't know if there was any check and if it was, they must have done so without actually looking lol. Sure looked like a handball

From what I’ve seen, at least the second was not technically illegal. Just **** officiating.

As for the Jota goal, yes it was checked by the VAR official. All goals are. Why he didn't tell the referee to look at it on the monitor, who knows. It was either upper arm or shoulder *shrug*

EDIT: Saw a few more angles. Def looks like a handball. At least it didn’t affect the result.

Wasn’t just a handball, it actually set his shot up perfectly after rolling up his arm and landing just in front for the volley lol

I’d probably be pretty pissed if I was an Arsenal fan. The handball was probably after the match had already been decided but that Mane elbow to Tierney’s face was pretty blatant.

Thiago is positive for COVID. It now makes sense that he missed training, and I bet Alisson was waiting on a re-test because he mysteriously was a doubt going into the match as well.

"Unspecified knock" is apparently code speak for COVID shenanigans.

What’s the protocol for reporting it? Do teams have to disclose it publicly?

They took a pretty good look at that, and the reason it wasn't a red was because Tierney's head was slightly lower than natural, and Mane was not looking at him when he went to shield him off. Borderline for sure though.

He also did not elbow Tierney in the face. His elbow makes contact with the shoulder and his wrist/hand caught him in the face as the elbow slides off the shoulder. Which is another reason it wasn't red. If the first point of contact is his face he probably would have seen red.

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines.

The 29-year-old, who missed Monday’s match against Arsenal, has exhibited minor symptoms of the virus but is in good health and is getting better.

The club has, and will continue to follow, all protocols relating to COVID-19 and Thiago will remain in self-isolation for the required period of time.

LFC first-team doctor, Dr Jim Moxon, said: “It is the choice of each individual whether they reveal publicly the outcome of a COVID-19 test.

“We have followed all the protocols to the letter and Thiago is OK. He will be self-isolating now as per the guidelines and hopefully he’ll be back with us soon.”

Yeah I don’t know about any of that Bret lol.

That’s a flagrant 2 and automatic ejection in the nba. Extends his elbow to head/neck and then finishes it off with a closed fist push through.

Yeah that’s an easy red but I’m sure they didn’t want to ruin the game and send someone off after 2 minutes even though Mane looked like he was chugging coffee pre match.

I don’t see where his elbow ever hits his face. His hand does for sure though. It being the 3rd minute also did contribute to only a yellow. While it probably shouldn't matter, it does. They will find a reason to not give a red that early if they can.

And just to be clear, when it happened, I thought he was gone.

                              Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday - Sunday

4 matches in a week for Spurs.

                              That’s nuts

The whole “too early in the game to give red or even yellow” is pretty annoying to me, it absolutely shouldn’t matter at all. Also Mané committed a second yellow card challenge before he scored, so he really should have been off either way.
