True but Anfield has not been seeing many goals from us since the new year.

Off the pace all match outside the opening of the 2nd half. It happens, everyone pretty much had a stinker.

        Not a nice stat:

This was Liverpool's 10th defeat in 2021. The last time they lost so many games before May was in 1954. They got relegated that year.

The referee in the Dortmund City match should be banned from the CL from now on. In this day, how do you blow a play dead when a guy is about to tap in a goal? Complete failure.

My personal hot take from that match is that the dortmund goal that wasn't allowed had just as much impact, and perhaps even LESS, than the fact that the entire Dortmund team was allowed to blatantly foul KDB for the entirety of the game with absolutely zero punishment.

Not even talking about just super physical "let 'em know you're there" type play, or shirt pulling etc.

KDB was getting violated out there. Straight up hockey checks into his back, slide tackles etc., with zero attempt to even play the ball. There were multiple sequences where he would dribble through Dortmund's midfield, get fouled like 3-4 times, ref indicates advantage, then the play dies and nothing happens. No cards, not even a talking to for the offending Dortmund players.

Dortmund definitely should have had another goal, but who knows how the game would have gone if they hadn't been given legitimately a free pass to remove KDB from any play by just straight up kicking him.

And KDB was STILL one of the best players on the pitch lmao. Unreal player.

imagine this ref, and the ref who was accused of racism earlier being the same guy

Just finished watching the 1st half. The ref has been atrocious!

De Bruyne was being held by the arm as he was running through on the build up to his goal. I think it was Dahoud pulling his arm.

Akanji made a great run from inside his own half and was tripped up by Rodri near the 18 yard box. Nothing.

LOL, at Rodri clutching his face on the penalty claim. Nowhere near his face. If anything the ball hits Rodri's arm. Rightfully so the ref looked at the monitor and changed his mind. My question then is, why isn't Emre Can's yellow card rescinded if it isnt deemed a foul?

The worst is the premature whistle when Bellingham is about to score. No foul at all there. What a let off for City.

As bad as Liverpool played and it was pretty terrible it could have been much morse. A few 50/50 penalties that went their way, Asensio flubbing a few chances, and TAA saving a goal when Asensio had Vini Jr for the FIFA tap-in.

That really was an incredible play by TAA. Made up the ground, broke up the pass, and then put it out for a throw instead of a corner.

Kinda forgot that Marko Grujic was still our player. On loan at Porto.

Is Mason Mount the best player in the world?

                          A) Yes.

                          B) Yes.

                          C) I have an opinion that is incorrect
