Two pretty good goals in this one so far.

Re: 2020-21 UEFA Competitions Thread
Could have been three but you know....Werner.
I hope Pulisic can stay healthy. He's so good when playing consistently.

I feel bad for Werner cause he seems like a genuinely nice guy trying his best, but goodness I wonder how many goals we’d have with a real striker.
Feels like Chelsea fans say that too often since Drogba left.Comment

Good result for Chelsea. Tuchel has made the defense nearly impossible to break down if you're not West Brom.

If Tuchel sets you up to defend, I could see the number of opportunities being the same as tonight for Madrid and Chelsea going through on the away goal.
Then Poch puts 6 past you in the final. [emoji1696]

Just finished watching. Kante was an absolute beast in midfield. Had Casemiro in his pocket most of the game.Comment

Kante has finally started looking like his old self the last few games, hope he can stay injury free for a while now.Comment

What do you think of Azpilicueta at wingback? Not sure of him in that position longterm. He went off early in the 2nd half with cramp. Much more running required than at CB.Comment

I think if Alonso can do well as a wingback then so can Dave, though it's pretty clear Reece James is the future of RB/RWB at Chelsea.Comment

Re: 2020-21 UEFA Competitions Thread
I like him vs certain players even though he’s lost a step. He had Vinicius Jr in his pocket and put in a few good crosses as well.
Like I said he’s lost a step but he’s as durable and reliable as they come. Probably the best defensive RB/LB in the Prem over the last 10 years.

Agree on James. Just curious as to why Tuchel is playing Azipilicueta there and not in Christensen's spot in the back 3. For me James' delivery is up their with TAA.
Tuchel likes to rotate his squad game by game like Pep does so it could just be that.Comment

Re: 2020-21 UEFA Competitions Thread
He's in the tough position where we have literally 5 CBs who are all playing pretty well. AC held down Thiago's spot masterfully when Silva was out which I think has forced Tuchel to get him in the XI. You factor in the FA Cup run, fight for the Top 4, and 5 subs allowed in the UCL and he's got options galore.
People freaked the hell out when Alonso played over Chillwell at first but quality always shines through and Reece has tons of it. Tuchel's just managing it according to the situation while taking into account fatigue. These guys have got to be exhausted. Apart from the international break we've played every 3-4 days for the past 3-4 months.Comment
