Arsenal have to be feeling very fortunate to be down 2-1 after playing with only 10 men nearly 30 minutes.

I'm still not quite sure what Ceballos brings to your team.

Seems like he has the same profile as Kovacic, but without any of the strengths?

Arteta's selections have been my biggest gripe, by far. I get why he's in there, because Xhaka is at LB. But...we started that match with two non-fullbacks in our fullback positions. That's inexcusable.

Cedric should've been put in at LB, as even if that's equal to Xhaka there, Xhaka is a better midfielder than Ceballos. Yes, he has his issues, but he's not Ceballos.

The reason Ceballos is still there is because doing the loan deal again was far easier and cheaper than bringing someone else in. However, as I heard mentioned today, one can help but wonder if it would've been better in multiple was if AMN or Willock had all of Ceballos' minutes this season.

Back on Arteta, what's frustrating is he talked about how he knew Ceballos was at risk of being sent off, even after the foul right after the break. But he kept him on until he inevitably imploded. Insanely poor management.

I have said before that I hope Arteta is given more time to see how he develops and what he can do. But I'm starting to see more and more Arsenal fans frustrations with him. Seems like this past month his lineups and substitutions have been all over the place.

It would be disastrous for the club, but I do think no European competition would massively help him and the squad. (It's not something I particularly want, but I think it would be a positive in many ways) The squad needs additions, but some sales should help drive that.

More time training and far, far fewer games to focus on would be, I think, a great way to judge what he can do with this squad. I think the club will easily I've him through 2021 without even a thought of moving on from him.

Arsenal can get battered by Villarreal in the second leg and finish in 12th in the league and he's job will still be one of the safest in the league.

I just don't think Arteta is nearly good enough for a club like Arsenal with aspirations to get back into the top 4. He's almost objectively worse than Lampard but is being given far more leniency with an even more unclear "process".

I think what would be disastrous would be not replacing him. Maybe he will be a good manager in the future, but he is in so far over his head atm.
