Rangnick has been granted a work permit and will watch from the stands tonight. I'm already annoyed at the absurd amount of camera cuts to him.

I was actually waiting for some strange scenario where he failed to get the work permit by a point. And United was forced to hire someone else. And then they ended up hiring Wayne Rooney to be their manager, lol.

No no no, give Steve Bruce the keys, he has Man U. DNA and has a wealth of managerial experience!

The longer it has been since it broke, the more I'm meh about the news and honestly not worried much will even come of it.

They've hired someone who needs time to build a project and create systemic overhaul. They've hired him to be their interim manager, during a time when he'll get basically no time on the training ground.

After that, they've committed to a consultancy. Not a technical director position (because apparently Darren Fletcher is deserving of that position), not a director of football position...but a consultancy.

They've basically made zero real commitments to change. I love it.

I don't want anyone competent in that building. I'd prefer they just keep trying to find someone with United ties so they can continue to play the "United Way"

              Surprised Arteta persists with Tavares.

Apart from that Liverpool game he’s been pretty good IMO. I personally think Tierney is a lil overrated. Def a better defender but injury prone and much more predictable when attacking.

I'd rather see Tierney given a shot to earn his spot back due to his better defending and positioning, but it's true that apart from a few issues, Tavares has been solid and very difficult to deal with going forward, and he's linked up very well with Smith-Rowe.

It has recently been said, and I agree entirely, Tierney is a great fullback, but he might not be the right fullback for how Arteta wants to play, or wants his fullbacks to play. Tavares loves to drift inside and that's not something Tierney naturally does, or seems to excel at.

Whatever the result of this goal or non-goal, it's going to be...weird.

You know what, it's not weird. Even if he doesn't know who steps on him, he makes the most of it, lays there and hopes that play stops regardless of what's happening to his back.

                              Infuriating.

If that’s not “clear and obvious” then nothing is. Ever.

Gotta love playing the club just in time whose talented players recently downed tools but suddenly remind everyone they are capable of trying as they try to impress the new manager in the stands.
