It was ugly at times, Traore is impossible to contain but 3 points is better than what we were doing last year in these games. I'll take it.

Would have been nice if Kane or Stevie put away their one on one chances to make it a little easier.

These Arsenal kits have way, way, way too much white on them. The white down the sides bleds into the shorts and it's just...so much white.

This will not be my first complaint about Arsenal today.

Everyone, and I mean everyone saw James about to make that run except the entire Arsenal eleven.

        Absurdly poor.

All that nice work to start the game by Arsenal undone by Chelsea’s first real attacking move. James was given way too much room to run into there.

What's frustrating is it's the type of defending that makes them appear more threatening than they were. It'll get worse, but so frustrating to start better but not have it matter at all.

Mari needs to be slapped. He really thought he could throw his arms up, fall to the floor, and the goal would be disallowed because Lukaku...kept running alongside him?

Also, I'm with everyone supporter that loudly groaned as Xhaka passed it backwards, killing the attacking momentum—again.

Yeah even I yelled at the TV when he didn’t continue the switch to the right where they had guys ready to go forward.

What's annoying is some people will say well it's what Arteta wants him to do, blah blah. But I don't buy it, as other players in his exact situation will not do it. Hell, Partey is always looking forward, but it's in Xhaka's DNA to go sideways and backwards. He was doing it before Arteta, and he'll be doing it after.

I do blame Arteta for wanting him to stay, though.

LOL they still haven’t figured out how to defend that side.

"Arsenal have Chelsea's number recently, you never know what will happen!"

I do. One team finished eighth, and should've been lower, and the other won the Champions League.

It helps that for months it's essentially the only side we attack down. If you want to find an Arsenal weakness, it's the side where the fullback bombs forward, those on the left then drop inside, and Xhaka is the one left to deal with defending it.

                      ****ing rocket science.

That's not a penalty?! It will be in a few matches when it's an Arsenal defender.

                        I quit.

I thought it was a pen at first glance too. Saka's touch put it away from him so I can see why they didn't call it but it was clumsy by James.

I think whatever call they made on the field would have stood.

That's what I was thinking too. That's a 50/50 call so whatever the original call is you have to go with.

Holding's looked like a red though but I enjoy the refs being more lenient this season so as long as nobody is hurt, I'm good with it.

True but I think the standard should be lower for the VAR to have the referee look at it on the monitor. The standard shouldn’t be “clear and obvious error” just to have the referee go to look for himself and make a decision.

This one should have been a penalty. James put his foot into his path and tripped him.
