I’m watching the game at a BWW and the Packers game sound is on. Did they say if Firmino picked up a knock, or did Klopp just realize he should have started Jota?

I don't think they've said yet—it was assumed there's a fitness issue that was unknown, but I may have missed some kind of confirmation when I had Tim Howard muted.

Arlo White going on about how the red card can only occur if it's a deliberate handball is just...come on. Can someone get in his ear?

Not in that situation, as it's most likely a goal if it does not hit the arm. If he had been several feet forward, or had others closer to him, then it would be a different situation.

But, as they just showed the replay again, it was pretty damn deliberate. He threw his arm forward at the ball after it came off his leg.

Sadio Mane has been bloody awful today. Losing possession all game.

Pretty unacceptable to not find a winning goal in this one.

                    Fun watch though

I was expecting it in the second half, but it was still frightening to see how good Chelsea are going forward with Lukaku up front, no matter how many are behind him.

He doesn't care—he's still going to do his thing.

Chelsea were much better up until the penalty. Up til then I would’ve easily taken the point.

I really thought Hendo had recreated his Stamford bridge goal when that shot was in the air.

Lukaku is gonna be great value for what they paid for him but I saw today something that showed up in his game at United that wasn’t there at Everton or even West Brom. He can’t run with the ball when he’s trying to take his man on. He tripped over it multiple times trying to run his man down.

Yeah he definitely tripped over himself a couple of times but I watched enough of him at Inter to see that he’s fine. I thought Liverpool did a great job of crowding him, especially after he did Matip a couple of times. Matip was solid though and that block he got late when Alonso headed it down was vital.

We were very poor in our final decision in the first half. We had numerous chances to slip in Lukaku and Havertz but we chose the wrong option. I’m not mad at the red. I personally didn’t think it was a red but the margin of error was so tight that I think it was more red than yellow if that makes sense.

Still happy with the showing. From top to bottom, barring City getting a ST which I don’t think they will, I think we have the best roster with the manager to get it done. By no means do I think we run away with it but I like our chances.

Yeah I still saw Inter Lukaku out there, he did a great job holding the ball up and contesting with not enough service to him. He probably would have had 2 goals if our midfielders focused more on playing simple through balls to him. He still has it in him to take people on 1v1 but Liverpool did a good job of double marking him to ensure that wouldn’t happen, which is what forced those stumbles.

He also just got here, not quite on the same page just yet with our midfield. You could see Mason start trying to figure it out a bit during the game though, he had a couple attempted (and blocked) flicks over the top to Lukaku who kept telling him to just slip it through on the ground instead.

I think Mason’s assist numbers this season could finally do justice to his impact on our offense if he can click with Lukaku.
