It’s a little harder making that joke now though, knowing that Tim can just point out my daughter plays for Liverpool

I do find it hilarious that you have way more official Liverpool gear in your home than I do.

Arteta has been found not guilty by the FA, and the defense was something else.

Everyone will make a joke about the English vs Spanish, but the full report is incredibly thorough, and the independent commission makes it clear they didn't take that defense into account. Something lost in translation seemed to have no bearing on their decision at all.

"We did not find any breach of FA Rule E3 on that basis either. Indeed, when viewed as whole and in the appropriate context it was in our view clear:

That there was nothing in the manner in which MA had delivered the Highlighted Words that either amounted to a breach of FA Rule E3 in its own right or that turned an ‘innocent’ delivery of words into a breach of FA Rule E3."

(The point previous to this was considering whether the highlighted words were viewed individually or all put together as a whole.)

Oh yeah, he also made it clear to the commission that he intended to use the word in English with its English meaning.

Further (because I don't want to grade projects right now), the commission took into account “the Premier League’s acknowledgement of a) The existence of weaknesses in the VAR processes; and b) The need for improvement in the general standard of VAR performance”.

                Beautiful.

Man City throwing a little extra onto the looming Liverpool v Arsenal match. No thank you, I don't like it one bit.

This ain’t your usual City. They haven’t replaced all that experience they’ve always had on the bench. They’re having all kinds of problems seeing out matches

There's the touchline booking for Arteta, for doing what every manager has done and will do this weekend.

But, the FA has already made it clear that he's treated differently because, well, he's Mikel Arteta (read the report).

Naa Kreb…he goes way above and beyond any manager not named Mourinho. He has to know that all eyes are on him considering his reputation.

Klopp, Conte, and Pep, to name a few. Also, I forgot which manager it was just a week ago ran down the touchline to celebrate a goal...not booked.

The issue with 'reputations' is who they're given by, propagated by, and how they're inconsistently created and punished.

I'd write more about how the FA admitted to being biased with Arteta's charge (and how in reality they're admitting to bias against other managers and teams, not just him) but there's no point.
