Re: The Transfer Thread
Mohamed Zidan to Hamburger SV (from Mainz)
WE Master League favourite Anthony vanden Borre to Fiorentina!!! (from Anderlecht)
Rumours of Joey Barton, Mark Viduka to Newcastle United. Barton also linked to West Ham, as is Scott Parker incidentally.
Wigan have signed Antoine Sibierski and Titus Bramble...

Bit surprised at the Toni to Bayern deal, considering they are not in the Champions League. Sure now he is contending for a title next season, but surely one of Italy's big three would have come calling too. Tomas Ujfalusi could be joining him in Munchen.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Yeah i figured Juve would have wanted someone like Toni to (esp with continuous rumours of Trezeguet leaving) but at Bayern he still gets to play in Europe too.
Fiorentina over Bayern in UEFA Cup final!

Remembered some other deals:
Hamit Altintop to Bayern (from Schalke)
Yldiray Basturk to Stuttgart (from Hertha BSC...tho i think it was a free transfer)
Hasan Salihamidzic to Juventus (from Bayern)
Rivaldo to AEK Athens (from Olympiacos)Last edited by calcutta; 06-04-2007, 11:14 PM.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Everyone is after Daniel Alves
Ok, Milan has Massimo Oddo and Cafu at right back already. Oddo is going to be 31, but played well with Milan. His crosses could've been better, but he did bring the ball up and his defense was superb. Cafu is older than dirt, but he came on late and played his butt off. Dude is ageless. So where would Alves fit?
It's the left back position that needs to be addressed. Jankulovski just doesn't cut it. Ancelotti should've kept him at midfield. And Favalli is a good backup that could start a handful of games.Comment
