Yeah Crouch & Bendtner seem like a like for like change when it comes to the Long ball but neither Cole nor Bendtner finish at a high enough clip to help the Toon army.

It's official: Michael Bradley to Aston Villa on loan and an option to buy at the end of the season.

How do the Liverpool fans feel about this news. Do we feel more confident about the club after losing Torres and then picking up a few more talented players?

It's what I've been calling for, but again, would have rather they threw some of the money at a center back.

And why is everyone acting surprised that a team is over-spending for players in January? It happens every year.

                Re: The Transfer Thread

Torres hasn't been himself even before the World Cup. He looked disinterested most of the time while he was on the pitch. Reports are saying we are getting the full £50 million. That is huge since we only paid a little over £20 million for him from Atletico.

Suarez and Carroll coming in is fine by me. We have gone on far too long relying on 1 striker. And when Torres is not firing we suck big time.

Another CB would be nice before the window shuts as I have little faith in an Agger/Skrtel partnership. And Carragher is winding down and isn't reliable enough.

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about the Chelsea deal. I do hope, however, that a Drogba/Torres relationship up top flourishes.

For around $15-$20, I can have dinner and drinks at Applebee's. Doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Wow with all that transfer money Liverpool is getting from Torres you would think they would actually spend it on good players.

30 million for Andy Carroll? That is crazy, January transfer window or not.

I agree. As a Chelsea fan I didn't want him. My main concern was getting a CB which we did. This lets Ivanovic move back to the RB and sends Paulo Ferriera back to the bench for good.

I expect Torres to be full of energy though. It will take some time to get used to seeing him in Blue though.

If I did the math right, under 2.5 hours left in the window.

Daniel Sturridge joins Bolton on loan from Chelsea
Mauro Formica signs for Blackburn Rovers
Elhadji Diouf is having a medical with Rangers.
                            James Beattie signs with Blackpool.

Good, get that leg-destroying piece of crap Diouf out of the EPL. Perhaps he can start a massive brawl in the next Old Firm match.

I agree with this. As for not wanting him, like I said, undecided. He has plenty of quality, though he hasn't shown any of it lately. Hopefully the change of scenery will evoke said quality. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
