So fellas what are your top 3 buys of the Summer? Take into account talent along with value.

    1. Nuri Sahin to Madrid
    2. Cesc to Barcelona
    3. Neuer to Bayern Munich

Honorable mention- Young to United, Pranjic to Roma.

I don't think I'll come up with anything better than that.

If we're looking at talent and value, I think Forlan to Inter has to be up there. Also, for me, Young to United is in the top 3. Not sure where I rank the Cesc transfer, it remains to be seen how important he'll be for Barca in the long run.

He's only played 1 game so far but Samir Nasri looks pretty darn good for Man City. He would be in my top 3. He had 1 assist total in last year's campaign, he had 3 on Sunday. He converted 97% of his passes and created 11 goal scoring chances. He looked like he had been playing with them for years. Remarkable how he gelled with Aguero, Dzeko and Silva so quickly.

Problem is he was in the last year of his contract and Man City paid a lot for him when they could have had him for free, so I don't consider him a value transfer. But you're right, he's a top quality player.

Let's not forget that they paid £22 million for someone in the last year of their contract. Just saying, we're talking about value as well and that is an insane amount to spend on a player in their final year, who was been streaky at best.

I was basing my pick on talent alone. But even still, 1 year left on his contract or not £22 million is a pretty good price they paid in this inflated market. Sheikh Mansour probably had that in his pocket.

Do they still get credit for paying £22 million in an inflated market when they are the ones responsible for inflating the market in the first place?

                    Boom!

Also, I still believe the Financial Fair Play rules will kick them in the ***. Just wait for it. The stadium deal is being investigated and it may not be next year, but at some point that club will face a penalty based on those rules.

I played a franchise with Man City on FIFA 11, and Nasri was one of the players I bought. I was looking at a Man City box score and saw Nasri was there in real life, pretty cool

I'd rather pay 22mil for Nasri now then 17mil for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin. He's going to play well for City and they will resign him next year.

I don't think they inflated it at all. In order to compete you have to make a splash. You want to talk overpaid, how about

I think people are sleeping on Roma. I fully expect them to finish 2nd in Serie A. I know they lost Mexes & Vucinic but they picked up:

I hope they do well, as they are my favorite Italian team. I know it will be weird for me not seeing Maarten Stekelenburg in the Eredivisie but I think he will be excellent in the Serie A. I am sure Luis Enrique can unlock the potential in this team because he has a fine squad.

Sounds like Gio Dos Santos had a deal in place with Sevilla, and well I guess 'Arry didnt get a big enough cut and killed the deal.

I don't think they finish top two, have too many questions in the midfield for me. They also still don't have RB worth a crap. I think they will make the CL.

Apparently, the "Special One" advised Sneijder to reject a move to United and stay with Inter.

Hmm, I wouldn't want to face United with Wes Sneijder in the semi's or final of CL, either.
