    Re: The Transfer Thread

All the rumours of David Villa to Aston Villa, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc can come to an end now. Villa broke his leg yesterday during the FIFA Club World Cup.

      Re: The Transfer Thread

French striker born and raised in Argentina David Trezeguet is going to sign a one year contract for River Plate in Argentina. He rescinded his contract in UAE with Baniyas.

Edit:He actually signed a two and a half year contract:

Meaningless tournament to participate in. Sad to hear.

Good for him and Everton. Ridiculous that they couldn't get the transfer done last time.

Shows more about Everton's lack of resources (financial/squad) than anything else...

Its time for Landon to make a permanent move over there. If you watch the videos that US Soccer put out after his first loan spell, you can see that he really wants to be there. The fans, management and players accept him. It makes sense.

LA denied the loan extension last time, but I wonder now that they got their title if they'd be more willing to let him move on.

Problem is, Everton are really in a financial crunch right now. I don't think they can afford to pay MLS what they want for him.

Things like that are why I'm not a big fan of the league. Not the style of play, team names or players, but things such as that. Oh well.

I'm not a fan of the league, but I'm not sure how you can put this on the MLS. I think you and I combine have more money to spend on players than Everton does.

Plus I don't think Landon wants to do a full season in the EPL. He doesn't want that challenge.

It's not just this incident, I mean in general that they must allow transfers.

                            They do.

What are the supposed to do, settle for well below fair market value?

Allow the clubs to control such things?

                                That wasn't your original complaint.

It's starting to look like you just don't want to give it a chance because it's not European, or whatever.
