In all seriousness though, I'm pumped as hell that he's going to be suiting up for Spurs, but the Ferdinand signing is "eh" at best.
If they signed 8 more Darren Bent's, they couldn't afford Gio.

You paid 32 million dollars for him! And he's useless.

Rooney and Tevez are both support strikers. United needs someone to play up top.

I think Tevez would go to the bench and they would add another CM.

I just wonder if Berbatov fits United's style of play. I know that they want a target man, but I would think they would want one with the pace that allows them to continue to interchange positions.

Personally, I won't believe United is in it for Berbatov (or any other transfers) until I see the press conference introducing them.

He would make them that much more versatile. I just wonder how Crynaldo would accept someone else doing some of the goal scoring. I can see his lower chin quivering already.

                          Hmmm...

Van Nistelrooy wants Ronaldo to join him at Real Madrid

Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has given his backing to the club's plans to buy Cristiano Ronaldo.

Media reports have been at a frenzy speculating that Manchester United winger Ronaldo is close to agreeing to move to the Bernabeu, where he would join former United team-mate van Nistelrooy.

The pair were involved in a famous training ground scuffle a couple of seasons ago, but van Nistelrooy is still keen to see the Portugal star at Madrid.

"He'd be an important signing for Madrid because this is a club which signs the best players in the world, and that's what Cristiano is," said Netherlands striker Van Nistelrooy.

"Cristiano could bring a lot of things to this club. He's young, he has everything and a long sporting career ahead of him. For Madrid he would be a great signing."

Madrid president Ramon Calderon has admitted he wants to bring Ronaldo to the club, but yesterday claimed the transfer was "impossible" as United were not willing to sell.

But some cynics have refused to believe Calderon, citing that the club did the same thing in their pursuit to sign superstars like Zinedine Zidane and Luis Figo – and both those players ended up signing for Madrid.

Ronaldo has remained tight-lipped about his future, but said on Sunday that he expects to make an announcement very soon.

                          ******

So Berbatov maybe to pick up some of the scoring slack left by Ronaldo?

Jo coming to the Premiership = awesome.

Liverpool signing David Villa would ****ing suck. I've always wanted him on Arsenal, but that'll never happen.

I don't see Coupet going to Spurs, Joe Hart would make sense though.

He might not fit but he would add some aerial attack as well as a clinical finisher. I always thought Tevez was the most underated player in the 11. Ronaldo & Rooney get all the press but Tevez is always winning the 50/50 balls and he brings alot of toughness to the pitch.

No, but I see him being used sparingly next year. Nani will play most games. Same for Paul Scholes. Anderson was brought in to be his long term successor. Sir Alex has already begun phasing them out gradually. Neither of them can really keep up to pace for 90 minutes anymore.
