    Re: The Transfer Thread

Deco has been told by Barcelona he can leave the club. Deco said, "I will go to England or Italy, I am sure. I won't stay in Spain because the only club that is of Barca's level is Madrid and I would never go to Madrid."

Kaka makes his dream move to Hertha BSC

Arsenal, Barca, Bayern and Meeeeelan all reportedly keeping an eye on Fiorentina keeper Sebastien Frey

Lee Carsley signs a two-year deal with Birmingham City

And i'm really keen to see where Zaragoza's stars like Ayala, Aimar, Milito, D'Alessandro, Oliveira, Matuzalem etc end up now that they've been relegated.

Just so everyone knows, this is Claudiano Bezerra da Silva, a defender formerly with Académica de Coimbra in Brazil, NOT the Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite that you all know from AC Milan.

I would've been scared if it didn't say Hertha Berlin lol.

And calcutta is right...Zaragoza has some selling to do. They stocked up last summer and it got them nowhere.

You'd think Brazilians, a culture of nicknames, would have a bit more variety. Anyone know what Kaka means (besides the obvious)?

If Frey's as good in real life as in FIFA, that's a good move. That guy was my bane this season in the OSSL.

                He is very good.

If Fiorentina had someone other than Mutu to finish they would probably challenge for the Scudetto. The Rangers would have never made the UEFA Cup final if they could finish. At this point, Fiorentina relies way too much on Frey.

Liverpool agree deal for Dortmund fullback Phillippe Degen on a free transfer.

Bremen striker Ivan Klasnic is being linked with both Besiktas and Wigan.

I'm thinking this could finally be the season the Pablo Aimar joins Liverpool (seems to be touted every winter), especially if the above Alonso deal goes through, and if Liverpool fail to land Gareth Barry.

Can't see him leaving (permanently or on loan) with Ronnie and Deco set to depart. He even scored his very first Primera goals on the final day...not once, not twice, but thrice!

I saw a similar story on the Sky Sports website. Sounds like its going to happen with a reported price of 15M pounds. To me that makes the sale of Hleb likely and would also seem to rule out a move for Ben Arfa and Kranjcar, who have also been linked with moves to the Emirates.

I hope that leaves enough in the coffers to bring in an experienced CM, with Makoun and Keita being the two I'm seeing rumored to be favored by Wenger...

It's 15 mil. Euros...L'Equipe said today we're getting him for 10 mil. which is an absolute steal.

Great move by Arsene as usual.

My mistake. I assumed it was pounds since it was on a British site. I like the move as well, as he seems like a good fit for Arsenal's style. Hopefully he can adapt to the English game quickly as the Gunners need a boost in attack. They can't count on Rosicky or RVP since they are never healthy...
