          Richard Dunne, lol.

I hope O'Neil doesn't think the old Richy is going to be the answer to their concerns in the back. Your not cracking the top 4 with Richard Dunne as your CB, Martin.

I'm pretty confident that Martin has one foot in the grave as manager of Villa. With not qualifying for Europa *Against Rapid Vienna of all freaking teams*, if he doesn't improve, he's probably gone.

Shocking loss by Villa today! They must felt high and mighty after beating Liverpool at Anfield and thought that the match against Vienna would be a walk in the park. Ashley Young has no excuse for missing that penalty. Maybe this will be better for their Premiership chances because there squad won't be stretched so thin with one less competition to worry about.

Oh did I forget to mention that Real Madrid have agree to a transfer fee with Bayern Munich for Arjen Robben? Bayern Munich have started poorly and Robben will definitely help. I wonder how Robben and Ribery will play together. Or is this a sign that Ribery will be headed to Real Madrid sooner rather than later?

Here is Fox Soccer's article on the move. Great signing by Bayern, IMO. I think he'll excel in an attacking league like the Bundesliga.

For the record, the story states that Bayern manager Louis van Gaal wants to move Ribery to a more central role, but who knows. Bayern might come to regret not moving Franck in this summer's inflated market. You have to think he's on the way out in the not too distant future, likely for significantly less than they would've received this summer...

I was hoping Madrid would keep Robben.

Real Madrid have confirmed a deal that sends Holland midfielder Wesley Sneijder to Inter Milan has been reached.

The transfer fee has not been yet been revealed but is reported to be worth around €15million, with €3million of that linked to objectives.

Stoke City have made a double raid to sign Middlesbrough's Robert Huth quickly followed by Tuncay Sanli for around £5 million.

Everton have filled the hole left by Lescott with Pompey's Sylvain Distin.

Tottenham's Jamie O'Hara has join Portsmouth on loan, despite extending his Spurs contract on the same day. Pompey have also signed Spurs mid Kevin-Prince Boateng, Wigan's Michael Brown and Lens striker Aruna Dindane on loan - LINK.

Lyon defender John Mensah has joined Sunderland on a season-long loan.

Chelsea flop Andriy Shevchenko has completed a return to the club where he made his name, Dynamo Kyiv.

Australian international and Celtic frontman Scott McDonald has been linked with a loan move to Wigan, according to local TV.

Speaking of Socceroos, does anyone know what happening with Lucas Neill and Mark Viduka? Both players are currently without a club, which is a little worrying in a World Cup year...
