I completely agree. Towards the middle/end of the season when at Arsenal two years ago, instead of playing on the wing, he tended to play as a deep lying forward or an advanced central midfielder and was deadly as the link man. I don't know where he'd play in Mourinho's 4-3-3, but if he could be the Lampard/Stankovic-type advancing centerhalf, he could be quite the pickup.

Re: The Transfer Thread
-Real Madrid re-signs Esteban Granero.
Rumours:
-Huntelaar goes to Stuttgart for 20M€ (almost done)
-Alvaro Negredo goes to Tottenham Hotspurs 20M€ aprox. (Isn't sure yet, but it's a constant rumour)
-Ibrahimovic goes to Barça.... but for 75M€ !!! Eto'o out from the negotiation.
Sorry for my English.... Greetings from Spain :wink:Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Eto'o will be somewhere else other than Barca when the season begins. Pep made sure of that with that press conference he held this week.
And QB, I enjoy the Bundesliga quite a bit. Would probably enjoy it more if I had a rooting interest. But its hard to find someone to root for on GolTV when all they show in Bayern games."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Re: The Transfer Thread
Very sad day even though it was known for a while. I like Ibra even though he disappears at times but I'm going to miss Eto'o.
With Real Madrid upgrading crazy style, this is a downgrade IMO. Hopefully he proves me wrong this year.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Ibra has been playing with a team that relies on him and him alone for creativity. Certainly that won't be the case at Barca. Not to mention Serie A is probably the toughest defensive league in the World.
I personally rate him and Fernando Torres as the two best strikers in the World."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Genoa have confirmed the signing of striker Rodrigo Palacio from Boca Juniors for an undisclosed fee.
Ajax have completed the signing of defensive midfielder Demy De Zeeuw from AZ Alkmaar.
Felipe Caicedo has told skysports.com he is ready to prove himself on the European stage after agreeing a move to Sporting Lisbon.YNWA

Re: The Transfer Thread
I personally think Zlatan will exel in La Liga. He is probably the most technical striker in the World. Which will fit in quite well playing with the most technically sound team in the World.
I agree though about Sam. I think he will quite hindered at Inter. I just don't think he gets the service he needs in order to succeed."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."
