It appears Sevilla's Daniel Alves had completed his long-awaited move to FC Barcelona earlier this month, in a deal that could rise to be worth €38million.

Jean Makoun become's the latest Lille player to complete a move to French champs Lyon, for around £11million. Expect an 8th consecutive title for them now (maybe more, i may have lost count).

Bolton have completed a £5million move for Birmingham City midfielder Fabrice Muamba.

New Barca manager Pep Guardiola doesn't plan on having Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Deco on his squad next season...

Meanwhile, Deco tells Ronnie to snub Man City and join together at Chelsea under Scolari...

And from a couple days ago, Milan says that Adebayor may be too rich for their blood...

          1. IMO, a terrible waste of money; Alves is a good attacking full-back, but his defense is suspect. 38M?! Talk about overpaying...

          2. Damn, I was hoping he would replace Flamini at the Emirates as he was linked to the Gunners in various rumors...

          3. Glad to see him staying in the Premiership. Another Wenger sell-off who would be nice to still have in the fold...

          1. Three malcontents who need to move on for their sake and Barcelona's...

          2. I can't see Ronaldinho going to City anyways...

          3. Hopefully this is true. If they sell a striker, I'd rather see RVP go due to his inability to stay healthy. However, they would have to bring in another proven goal-scorer to replace him as who knows when/if Eduardo will regain his form and Bendtner looks like a complementary player at a top-level club...

Agreed. Man City seems to be taking steps in the right direction. If they could somehow pull a miracle and land Ronaldinho, they'd be loaded.

John Arne Riise signs for AS Roma. Good bit of business for us I reckon. Riise has been a good servant for the club but his level of play has diminished the last 18 months or so.

My fondest memory of Riise would have to be his thunderbolt against Utd. here it is, the quality isn't the best.

Not a transfer, but Steve McClaren is the new manager of Champions League qualifiers FC Twente.

Fenerbahce close in on Mallorca's Daniel Guiza.

Fulham have completed the signing of Bolton's Andranik Teymourian on a free transfer.

US-born, Australian international Bruce Djite has signed with Turkish club Gencerberligi. He is one of Australia's best young prospects along with former Adelaide United team-mate Nathan Burns, who himself has joined Greek giants AEK Athens.

                      Didn't see this yet:

Carlos Bocanegra to Rennes in France? Sporting Life reports that L'equipe of France says so.

Nice stuff there for Fenerbahce. Adding to the front line.

I realize this isn't necessarily meant for Fifa, but anybody have a clue on when a new update may be?

Remember when Calcutta posited that Zaragoza would be selling some of the top players due to relegation? Well, according to Pablo Aimar's agent, Newcastle wants the Argentine ace...

What the hell, I'll start using boldface like everyone else...

FIFA 09 will probably the next update.

True, it's highly doubtful that EA will do another squad update for 08. It would awesome if they would after the summer window to help hold us over for 09, but I just don't see it happening. I was trying to keep my squads updated (the bigger leagues anyways), but losing my 360 for at least a few weeks has pretty much wrecked that...

fsc said adebayor is going to barca. supposedly the sell made arsenal around 38 million. if this is true thats a nice profit for them. this makes the berbatov sweepstakes more interesting.
