Re: The Transfer Thread
If I was Arsenal, I'd demand a hefty sum of cash and one of the zillion quality Man City defenders. I just heard on the radio Aguero was even mentioned. Why the hell would he even be in the conversation with Lacazette and Giroud already there? How about some defense? I don't get it..

Re: The Transfer Thread
I got to admit I'm confused by Monaco's loan/transfer of Kylian Mbappe to PSG? It's hard for me to believe they dealt him to their biggest rival.
If he had to go why not sell him to Real Madrid so you don't have to play against him? Were they not interested?Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
For all RM's money, they actually have a very strict wage structure that they adhere to.
Besides, who needs Mbappe when you have AsensioComment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I'm still kind of surprised though considering that BBC is getting up there in age and Mbappe would be a pretty good successor to Benz. Who knows though, maybe he ends up there eventually anyway. I still can't believe all those chances Benz blew vs Valencia lol. It was like one of those FIFA games where you're predetermined to lose. Even his shots on target were either miraculously saved and/or hit the posts.Comment

RM doesn't break their wage structure for anyone, they only pay those kind of wages for proven world class players, which Mbappe is not at the moment.Comment

As far as Kun is concerned, there has definitely been a rumbling or two about him requesting a transfer during the Winter window if he ends up playing second fiddle to Gabriel Jesus. I don't think he's going anywhere this season as Man City has a pretty good shot to make some CL and PL noise. You never know though with this crazy transfer stuff.

Re: The Transfer Thread
Sometimes you just have to take what you can get when a player desperately wants out. See the Celtics/Cavs trade. Monaco just cashing in, and now they have zero expectations or pressure for this season.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Signed Keita Balde today as well, who is a pretty wild talent that gets overlooked often because Serie A isn't in the limelight anymore. Seems like they might end up coming out of this alright. They have basically replaced all their sold players with young talented ones, some of whom are just as good.
I think the only player they can't really replace is Bernardo Silva.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Yes, which had been painfully evident watching him get too far forward and allowing the defense to get gashed.
Sad times at the club with no resolution even remotely in sight.

Re: The Transfer Thread
Latest report/rumor is that Ox could go to Liverpool instead of Lemar, who Monaco still seem unwilling to sell. He certainly wouldn't be used as a wingback at Liverpool, but chances he's used as a midfielder and not a rotational wide forward? Still seems slim.Last edited by Krebstar; 08-30-2017, 07:50 AM.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I said the same thing in the Liverpool thread about Renato Sanches but Ox would be 4th choice there in CM behind Gigi, Henderson, and Can. Not too mention Llalana, Milner, Coutinho (if they keep him) and Grujic.
That's MUCH more competition there than at Chelsea where if he wanted to play CM he'd have to contend with Fabregas, Kante, Baka, and maybe Drinkwater/Barkley if they come. He'd immediately challenge Moses for RWB and be the deputy at LWB until maybe Baba Rahman comes back.
If he wants to make the England WC team than he needs to play first and foremost.
But whatever, he doesn't seem like a player who has his head on straight at the moment. Of course this would all change if he signs with Chelsea at which case it's a great signing and he''ll immediately be the best wingback in the world.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Ox turned down Chelsea, Liverpool have too many good attackers for him to play, he wants to play in an attacking position, Spurs need depth everywhere, Ox wouldn't have to move from NL .. it all adds up, come to the good side Ox.
It's about time Arsenal had their own Judas.Current careers:
