Frenkie de Jong to PSG this Summer it seems.

Only a matter of time before it’s clear where de Ligt goes, Barca or City certainly.

Zach Steffen won't be joining the club until July it would appear.

Balotelli is apparently headed to the MLS, with a variety of clubs apparently interested.

Strange to think that he's still only 28.

Spurs have trigged the one-year extension clause in Alderweireld's contract, which extends his contract until the Summer of 2020—so, he won't be signing a pre-contract this January.

However, triggering that clause now activates a £25m release clause in his contract. So, he's leaving this Summer for £25m instead of on a free. That's better, but I'm still surprised Spurs were not able to handle it better (considering they usually seem to).

So they're basically handing him to United for 25 mil, SMH. I guess that's better than nothing like you said but damn, that strengthens a direct rival.

Hopefully Barca comes in and triggers it.

Yeah, I can already see the "well they didn't want to lose him for free" nonsense but their decision to not lose him for free should not erase how poorly they handled the situation before this—especially considering how they don't seem known for this.

Were there any realistic reports of what kind of fee he could've gone for in the Summer? I mean, surely double £25m for starters.

                      Re: The Transfer Thread

United was ready to offer 50m in the summer but it’s a weird one.

He’s easily worth what VVD was, so even 50m would have been too low.

IMO Spurs played this right, it’s pretty much the only thing they could have done. They waited this summer hoping some club would splash 70m+, which there was probably a decent chance, and now they will at least get something in return on top of Toby helping them to retain a top 4 spot and maybe even a title challenge.

Selling him for 50m this past summer would be a worse decision than the one they made.

In more "West Ham doing West Ham things" news, West Ham have signed Nasri.

All jokes aside, he was always a very good player and Pellegrini has that team playing some nice stuff, so this could actually turn out pretty well for them.

West Ham are actually looking borderline competent at times and could easily get up to 7th. That part of the table is a cluster right now.

It’s so painfully West Ham, though. Put some money towards the future for ****s sake. More than they have, at least. Not at Nasir, for ****s sake.

Pulisic to Chelsea for £58m, loaned to Dortmund until the end of the season.

Chelsea have officially expanded into America.

Amazing deal for Dortmund considering his place in the squad and having one year remaining on his contract.

Its amazing to me how many Chelsea fans I've seen in comments that are upset about this purchase. I'd be over the moon if we bought him.
