10.27 Real Betis are hoping to persuade Claudio Pizarro to leave Chelsea and join them in a move that would make him the Spanish club's star signing of the summer.

10.33 Bristol City have had a bid accepted by Coventry for diminutive striker Michael Mifsud. The Sky Blues are reluctant to sell but the player has expressed a desire for pastures new and is heading into the final year of his contract.

10.41 Sunderland manager Roy Keane expects to complete a number of signings by the weekend after meeting with four Tottenham players. The Black Cats made bids for Teemu Tainio, Pascal Chimbonda, Younes Kaboul and Steed Malbranque last week.

10.57 Austrian Florian Sturm has become Roberto Di Matteo's first signing since taking the reins at MK Dons.

11.07 Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has confirmed he has opened contract talks with former Manchester City defender Ben Thatcher.

11.22 Liverpool have signed Spanish right-back Emmanuel Mendy on a three-year deal. The 18-year-old, from Spanish Third Division side Murcia Deportivo, is expected to compete for a place in the reserves.

11.33 Southampton coach Jan Poortvliet is to speak to Jhon Viafara in an attempt to resolve the midfielder's future. The Colombian international reported back late to pre-season and was substituted less than half an hour into a 3-2 win at Weymouth on Tuesday night.

11.40 According to reports in Hungary, Norwich City want to sign goalkeeper Laszlo Koteles from Hungarian First Division side Diosgyor.

11.45 Could Manchester City be ready to make a move in the market for a striker? The news that Benjani is now laid up with injury, when allied to the fact Jo is on his way to the Olympics, has started the whispers at Eastlands.

12.10Skysports.com understands Pascal Chimbonda is currently undergoing a medical at Sunderland ahead of signing a four-year deal.

        Malouda leaving already? lol

And truth be told...The Beast should've stayed at Arsenal from his loan. Never should've gone back to Real.

Milan are rumoured to be keen on Roma fullback Christian Pauncci.

...and finally, Ronaldinho will wear the #80 shirt at Milan!

Truth be told, I wouldn't mind having Baptista in the squad right now. They certainly could have used him last year with the injuries to RVP & Eduardo. Too bad neither player involved in that swap was able to settle with their respective club. Speaking of which, where have you gone Jose Reyes? Oh that's right, way down the bench at Atletico Madrid...

If Inter closes the deal on Quaresma, and Adriano ends up playing like what we used to see, I don't see how Inter isn't favored to win every game this following season, lol.

But will Adriano replace Mutu at Fiorentina next season? Probably not, since Fiorentina just rejected Roma's £16m offer for Adrian Mutu claiming "he is and remains a Fiorentina player"...the saga continues.

Meanwhile, Inter have their sights set on Pompey's Ali Sulley Muntari if they can get him for £10m. And West Ham have completed their £10m move Armenian-born, Swiss international Valon Behrami.
