He scored an absolute beauty in his first minute as a Bayern player last night against my hometown DC United team.

      Re: The Transfer Thread

I’m just now catching up on some of the moves made this offseason and KG, your Blues made some nice pickups.

Had no idea y’all picked up Jules Kounde, Sterling and Koulibaly.

        The Transfer Thread

I'm seeing a report that Kasper Schmeichel wants to leave and possibly has agreed to terms with Nice.

They surely wouldn't move him without bringing in a replacement, right? That guy keeps them in matches they have no business being in.

Edit: Went to see what kind of business they’ve done this summer and…none. Outside of Lookman (out) and Praet (in) having their loans end, they have done absolutely nothing in the market. That’s kinda weird.

And then you have newly promoted Nottingham Forest spending money left and right. Already 12 players in and linked to many more. Smells like another QPR disaster if they aren't careful.

Ronaldo’s having a tough time finding a club in the CL that actually wants to take him on. Poor guy…

He probably should have spoken up sooner perhaps in the first week of May when United we're officially with out a shot at CL football. If he had a time machine he could go back and have actually gone to a legit contender in the first place.

I have to think his agent made it pretty clear early on that he would be looking for CL football.

                  Re: The Transfer Thread

I love Ronaldo, but he brought this on himself. He could’ve spoken out sooner, before the season ended and with United confirmed to be out of UCL places, and yet chose to wait a few days before pre-season started.

No top club wants to buy him. No middling UCL club can afford his wages. It’s up to him to lower his perceived value or suck it up in Europa.

In other news, Kounde to Barcelona. And yet they still need to offload players in order to register them for La Liga, yeah? Can’t wait for this window to close and our own saga with FDJ to end just so the word LEVER finally dies (for a few months maybe).

Do you think ETH really wants Ronaldo in the squad?

That ST position is awfully thin. I know Martial has looked good in the preseason but he's injury prone.

If you believe his interviews, yes. My own belief is EtH is 60/40 on it. He can work with Ronaldo and modify his system enough to make it work and get more goals out of him than the previous manager(s). He's a proven scorer at a position we're thin in and he needs the best players available. He also wouldn't mind just not having him at all so that he can use his press the way he really wants.

And yes, Martial looked good but I wouldn't be comfortable only having him as striker when he hasn't looked good since the Spurs match to start the 20-21 season.

Looks like Forest are going for Jizz Hornkamp from Dutch side Wilhelm II. Yes, my maturity level typically resides around 15 years of age.
