Chelsea appear on the verge of signing Left-Winger William from Shakthar. Most likely this signals the end of Flourent Malouda

I didn't realize Malouda was 30. I'd take him on Liverpool for a year or two. We need all the wingers we can get!

He's not really a winger. He's more of a FWD who attacks from out wide. It's why we depend on Cole so much to provide that width but if he get's pinned back by a good defensive winger our left side usually gets shut down. When he's motivated and on good form he's very dangerous.

Never really that big of a Malouda fan, so I think its a good move on Chelsea's part. Malouda is way too inconsistent for my liking.

Good signing. That guy was born to play for Jose Mourinho.

My best guess on Villa's offseason:

                Biggest loss: Ashely Young

Biggest signing...that's a good question...I guess N'Zogbia or Demba Ba, but they could pull another Bent signing out of nowhere.

Reports out of Spain saying that David De Gea will be introduced by Manchester United on Monday.

No links, but sounds pretty legit as multiple sources out of Spain are saying it including Cadena Ser, which is usually right on the money as far Atletico and Madrid news.

Yeah, this is a done deal now.

I haven't seen him play much. Is he going to step right in as the starter at 20?

Yup. Whichever keeper they signed they were signing him to start from the outset.

He's started for A. Madrid, I believe he won the Europa League last year. He has experience. I guess it depends on whether Kuszczak stays or leaves

Kuszczack is gone. He makes the defense nervous and I don't think he will be satisfied with being behind the new guy. Lindegaard will be the backup.

                              £17-18.3 million for De Gea.

                              £13 million for Manuel Neuer.

                              Definitely the silly season.

Those really aren't that bad. Especially when you take into account that they are arguably the two best keepers on the market. Not to mention, Schalke were in no position to play hardball due to their league standing and Neuer only having a year left on his contract.

£13 million for one of the best keepers in the world and £17.5 million for a keeper that, if everything works out, can be United's keeper for the next 10-15 years.
