He probably will, but Sky isn't really reliable anymore the way they used to be.

BBC and the club's own websites are just about the only reliable sources these days. Apart from a few itk's like Di Marzio

The biggest mercenary manager and the biggest mercenary player. The "United Way" was on life support. Let's pull the plug and cremate the body.

I agree. I'll be absolutely flabbergasted if Vardy ends up at Arsenal.

20 mil for Vardy isn't bad at all. If it does come through and he fails that's not a huge hit but he brings stuff to Arsenal that they currently don't have. He's mean and runs for days. He'll be good at stretching the back-line and opening up space for Ozil and Ramsey. Him and a fully fit Alexis will run defenders into the ground.

20m for an amateur one season wonder?
I guess Arsenal will now sit back and play with counter attacks as Vardy is only good at that style of football.

                    Re: The Transfer Thread

For Leicester, out of the three of Kante/Vardy/Mahrez, selling Vardy makes the most sense. They can reinvest in a younger player, take that 23m and throw in an extra 10 and they can get somebody like Batshuayi/Bakambu/Embolo, ie; younger but still proven. Hell they could even take a punt on Berahino, who would fit their system as well and is a much bigger talent than he is given credit for these days.

Vardy could very well replicate his form next season. However, history suggests he won't and football is a business these days. This summer will be the highest Vardy will ever be valued, wouldn't be a terrible idea for Leicester to cash in. Especially if he doesn't want to stay.

He won't even get the same space with Leicester if he stays. Teams are gonna sit deep against Leicester now like they do against the traditional big teams. The season after a title win is always the toughest. So let's see how they all do this season either at Leicester or at different clubs.

Teams did that all 2nd half of the season and he still proved to be a quality finisher. Do I think he'll replicate his magical season? No but I think this is one of those cases where it's a solid deal for both clubs. Leicester sells at the high point and 20 mil for Arsenal is a drop in the bucket (made the most based off the chart Brahvo posted) for a player who brings them something different not too mention covers them for when Alexis, Giroud, and Welbeck get injured.

If Wenger signs Vardy he's going to put him in the wing. I can't really wait for Arsenal fans rage next season!

                            This.

Vardy is going to be a replacement for Walcott, not Giroud. He's not an upgrade on Giroud, just offers something different.

Would be hilarious if he's the only striker they sign though.

they could still keep walcott. somehow I don't think he is going to fetch a reasonable price and its not like they need him gone either. imagine him subbing in late with vardy and alexis. even if you can't respect his finishing, he can still run past tired defenders and set someone else up.
