It depends on the price.

If it's south of 70 mil then I'd be OK with it since we're going to lose Eden and CHO and RLC have serious injuries.

In his absolute best form he is still a downgrade on Hazard in every conceivable category.

Honestly we really shouldn’t be looking to directly replace Hazard, we just can’t. We need to be going after the best available player who fits Sarri’s system, not looking to replace Hazard like-for-like.

Oh no doubt on the Hazard part but everyone bar a few are downgrades.

He just gives us cover at LCM and LW and is technically proficient enough to do well in Sarri’s system (I also think Sarri’s system would work well at Barca).

But it would be cool to just be able to buy players ya know.

Tbf, Hazard arguably doesn’t even fit the system, it just works because he’s amazing. Coutinho is a similar type of player but much worse, I just don’t think he’s what we need.

In Sarri’s system, the wingers are crossers and goal scorers, who makes tons of runs off the ball and constantly get into either a shooting position for a shot on goal or a cross to whoever is playing Higuain’s spot. Hazard really isn’t that player, he likes to have the ball at his feet and he likes to create.

I do think CHO could end up being that player, but if we much buy someone we should be looking for a goal scoring forward.

You dont have to convince me of all people that we need a goal scoring forward. We've needed a consistent one since Diego but yeah I agree about Hazard and I was thinking last night about how much faster the ball was moving w/o Hazard but that was against a terrible Revs team and before the old and new gods struck down RLC.

I just Coutinho (despite his inconsistencies) for his flexibility and added prowess in front of goal. Now if RLC was healthy (back & achilles) I'd say eff off and let Barca ship him to wherever but now given that we're falling apart at the seams I'd like for us to load up (if we even can).

I've been seeing a lot of reports that we might voluntarily sit out this window but we can still sign Kovacic due to him being registered to us this year or some weird loophole. Pepito can not fit through that loophole so we're sending him back lol.
