Re: The Transfer Thread
I also dislike them for that reason, and was surprised and sad to see them stay up last year. I’m just not vocal about it in the same way I am regarding Fulham.
Fulham were also charging insane ticket prices for being ****, and I’ve always hated how they’re supposed to be this side everyone roots for. That’s most likely because even as an American, I have zero interest in the USMNT.
So, with Fulham, it’s also the idea that since I started following the league, Fulham is a team I should have a soft spot for because they happened to sign American players now and then.
Yes, it’s admitted contrarianism.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
It’s definitely not a good pickup, he’s been quite bad everywhere he’s gone. Wildly inconsistent on a good day. Even for half the price it wouldn’t be a good pickup.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
He was pretty decent the first year they got him at Lyon but since then basura. Oh well, we’ll take that 1.5 mil and keep it in escrow for Declan lol

Hopefully west ham gets relegated this season and we can just snap him up for super cheap.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Lots of smoke around Bale going on loan to Spurs.
Being reported that it could be a two-year loan for the final two years of his deal. Not sure of the validity of the source though.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 09-16-2020, 12:22 PM.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
The opinion I keep seeing with it is "imagine how good a motivated Bale at Spurs could be" or something similar. Yeah...if he's motivated.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
On top of the 600k Bale said today that he’s going to need a month to get into shape lol.
Seriously.... all he cares about his golf lol

Re: The Transfer Thread
I mean if we're talking game shape, then that makes sense, most players need about a month get back in top physical condition, and considering he does rely on his physical attributes it would be foolish to play him outside of his peak fitness.
Then again, we have no real idea of how Madrid has treated him in terms of training as well.Support Local Sports

Re: The Transfer Thread
Wonder if that means Spurs agreed to the buyback clause, I'm pretty sure that was the main thing holding back the deal for United.
Unless Real just want to get rid of Bale that badly that they were willing to throw in Reguillon to get Spurs to take him lmao.Comment
