I found that Respawn is (or was at one point) a NextMaker too, so I was just completely wrong lol: https://x.com/MoreRespawn/status/1431289911546613761

Personally though I don't care much about that, the videos I've seen from Respawn Apex and Seamount have felt fairly honest and haven't avoided some criticism of what they've seen so far. That's what mainly matters to me.

Respawn is the only opinion I’m interested in.
He knows more about gameplay than the others & his videos are well presented & watchable.
Does not sugar coat like Seamount or induce incredibly high blood pressure like Apex he just says it as it is. Canuck is okay on the design side obviously but gameplay is not his thing.

Yeah, it's tricky when youtubers/streamers go on paid trips and then are a part of social media marketing campaigns. The trip itself is OK, I honestly don't blame them for wanting to go, but if that turns into "y'all should buy the game, it's gonna be amazing," that's when I check out. But none of the creators I follow are shy about criticizing games.

Totally agree. Started watching 2 of them and closed the tab after 2 minutes lol. It's all ok though, it's all about modern day influence-r marketing.

The dev dairy is all anyone needs to see at this point, along with maybe CrazyCunuck's slow down walk through of the details for the super interested folks (like me), until they actually allow these people and others to play the actual game through a round and let us see it all.

They've got my eyeballs and attention at this point. Rooting for it to be very good, and successful.
