The EA Dev confirmed that it is a problem, but only in Online H2H games. And there is a work around.

I'm not sure if that will be able to be fixed by MS or not prior to certification or if EA can go back and fix it.

I'm happy with my 25k coins. I was able to boost my CAG from 81-86. For a player with a less developed CAG, those 25k coins will be a massive jump.
