TW PGA Tour 14: My Shaft is Gone

I started Legends of the Majors this week (thanks bigkev) and I'm on the Legend Challenge to take down Seve Ballesteros. On the first hole I noticed that I had a grip and a head but no shaft. I was able to hit the ball twice, but when it's time for me to putt, the game freezes.

I powered the system off, restarted the game, and the same thing happened. Idk if this has anything to do with it but the only thing I changed about my created golfer is the hair; I still have the generic clothes, clubs, everything.

Any suggestions for help? I can't unlock the few Legends I have to go if I can't play with my created golfer due to the clubs. Thanks.

This happens to me as well...I think I've noticed it when I switch between Legends of the Majors mode and Career Mode or other modes in the game. I assume it's because in Legends of the Majors mode, they make you use era-specific clubs, so it changes what you have in your bag. It just doesn't reset correctly.

All you have to do is go to Edit Golfer and select the shaft you want to use again. It should show up after that, but this will keep happening as you play. Just check before each match/round to see if your clubs have a shaft selected.

As a matter of fact, I've never played with my created golfer other than in Legends of the Majors, and I haven't even played another game mode since I started LotMs.

Hmm...ok, gotcha. I think the issue still rests with playing in Legends of the Majors and being forced to use old-time clubs. You should still only need to add the shaft back if it's missing to fix it. It will just "remove" the shaft each time you play with your created golfer within Legends of the Majors and are forced to use era-specific equipment. At least that's my understanding!

Have had an issue where I get stuck with the old era clubs a few times despite never selecting them.
