Game Summary:
First game of the season and it showed early and often. The Thrashers managed 35 shots on goal, but Tampa goalie Mike Smith was on top of everyone, earning his first shutout of the season. Alex Tanguay and Mike Smith simply shut down any hopes the Thrashers had in this one. Really no bright spots for us in this game. Kari Lehtonen was able to stop 30 of 33 shots against him. Atlanta was also 0-10 on the power play.
