The Next Kipper NHL 10 BAP

Hopefully crosby878787 wont be mad about me copying his thread, but I like playing NHL 10 as a goalie.

2009 NHL-Draft Player Bios

Tonight we are focusing on Finnish goalie Mikko Holopainen
Holopainen is 6-1 tall and he is 184lbs heavy. He is from Kuopio and he played 13 games in Finnish elite league SM-Liiga. His stats from the season were 5 wins, 5 losses and 3 overtime losses, his Goal Against Average was 2,98 and his Save percentage was 90,12%. He also played in the U18 World Championship with Finland as they got the bronze medal. He played five games with GAA of 2,13 and with a Save percentage of 93,25%. He is told to be the next Miikka Kiprusoff or the next Nicklas Backstrom. NHL Central Scouting said that he would be in the top 10. Yhis is what NHL Central Scouting's European Division leader Goran Stubb said about Holopainen: ''He is very talented and fast, but he needs to improve his stick-work.''
Holopainen played the Prospects game with the World Prospects which they won against the North American Juniors 3-2. Holopainen made 16 saves, but he couldn't do nothing on the two goals that the Juniors scored, they both were redirected from a shot from the point, but in the last minute he showed his reflexes when he stopped Stephan Leclaire's slapshot from 5 feets away. Holopainen will be one of the hottest player on the draft that's for sure and propably the best goalie and the best Finn in the draft.

Now that the first five picks are gone we take a look at the players who got drafted with the first five picks. We talk about their changes to become a star in the NHL.
1st Pick : Fedor Obsut C from .
Obsut is not like Evgeni Malkin or Sergei Fedorov. Malkin and Fedorov are better passers than Obsut, but Obsut has got a better shot than them. He needs to improve his skating and physical play if he wants to become a star.
NHL Comparable: Steven Stamkos
Prediction on his first season: 48 Games, 14 Goals and 18 Assists

2nd Pick : Stephan Leclaire C from .
Leclaire and Obsut are have the same playing style which is scoring goals and taking shots from good areas. He needs to improve his defensive abilities and his slap shot accuracy needs work. But otherwise he is pretty good player.
NHL Comparable: Sidney Crosby
Prediction on his first season: 82 Games, 34 Goals and 20 Assists

3rd Pick : Trevor Pollock C from .
Pollock is a great playmaker and he is big too, his passes seem to find his teammates tape every time. But he needs to improve his skating, shooting and shot blocking. He will become a star in couple of years.
NHL Comparable: Mikko Koivu
Prediction on his first season: 68 Games, 8 Goals and 38 Assists

4th Pick : Michael Phillips C from .
Phillips is very small, but what he loses in size he wins back in passing and skating. He isn't the first guy to come to help defensemans in their own zone, and his hitting needs to improve a lot. He will be in the third line in couple of years.
NHL Comparable: Paul Kariya
Prediction on his first season: 29 Games, 12 Goals and 14 Assists

5th Pick : Mikko Holopainen G from .
Holopainen is very solid goalie and he has got a great glove hand, he is also very fast in the crease and he is quite big too. He isn't the best puck-handler or the best to stop re-directs He sometimes overplays some of the situations.
NHL Comparable: Miikka Kiprusoff
Prediction on his first season: 21 Games, 2,50 GAA, 89,12% SV% 2 Shutouts

Mikko Holopainen who was drafted last week has agreed the terms with Atlanta Trashers, his contract will be a entry level deal with 850 000$. He will join them when they start the training camp and GM Don Waddel said that he will be the future number one goalie for them, he will start the season with the Thrashers in the NHL, but he might be sent to AHL if he doesn't play well in NHL
