THE LEAFS SIGNS FREE AGENT NIKOLAI ZHERDEV

The Russian winger was signed today by Toronto to a 2 year deal with a salary of $3.275M. Zherdev played last season in New York Rangers and have represented Columbus before that. Zherdev has a career high of 61 point in one season that was 2007-08 season when he played for the Blue Jackets and Toronto expects him to score around 60 points this season.
