DALLAS, TX - Kevin Bieksa is the latest Vancouver Canucks' defenseman to suffer an injury. In the same game that Vancouver got Dan Hamhuis back after a one game absence, Bieksa was hurt late in the contest against the Dallas Stars on a check behind the net. It is unknown how serious Bieksa's injury is at the moment, but team officials have labelled it a lower body injury.

"Kevin will make the trip with us to St. Louis," Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins said. "However, I don't know if he will play against the Blues or not. If he can't go, we will dress Yannick Weber again."

The 33-year-old Grimsby, Ontario native has spent his entire career with Vancouver since being selected by the organization in the 5th Round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. This season Bieksa has 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 games played. He is also a +5 with 0 penalty minutes. For his career, Bieksa has played in 542 games with 53 goals and 229 points.
