Nashville, TN- Martin Jones turned away 13 shots, Joe Pavelski struck first and the San Jose Sharks(8-1) beat the Nashville Predators(2-5-2) 2-0 tonight inside the Bridgestone Arena.
"We're really playing great Hockey right now. I know we had a tiny slump against Buffalo but you move past losses and you focus on the next game. That's what our focus is." Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer said.
Predators Goalie Pekka Rinne allowed just one goal before turning away 20 shots by the Sharks offense.
Earlier in the second period, Sharks Forward Evander Kane scored a goal but it was waved off for interference as Kane collided with Rinne.
"That was rough for us. We just had to take a deep breath and get back to work." Kane stated.
The Preds struggled against Martin Jones and the Sharks.
"Off to a rough start. We need to refocus and get back to our style of Nashville Predator Hockey." Predators Head Coach Peter Laviolette said.
The Sharks head to Carolina for a battle with the Hurricanes(4-3-2)
