Sweeps and Screens online

As frustrating as non-stop read-option players are...I haven't played anyone in the past 2 weeks that doesn't constantly run a sweep or screen the entire game. The pursuit on both of the plays make it impossible to consistently stop. I can stop the screen but it makes me sacrifice a player. However, on sweeps i get blocked while the rest of my defense is standing still not even going to the edge. I've tried numerous plays and formations. If I guess run to either side it can be stopped, however, that screws you over more than it's worth.

Am I missing something? Or do idiots just ruin head-to-head online play?

Also, I am always the Packers. Is their defense just full of complete idiots? If I run the same plays I notice the opposing defense has pretty good pursuit.
