Tips for joining a PS4 league?

I've been playing Madden for 20 years and have never bothered joining a league, but I'm interested this year. So far I've joined (and then left) a few, because I'm finding that in each one there's been some shenanigans going on. For example, the first league I joined, I found someone had traded one of their mid round picks for my team's first round pick, straight up, before I joined. In another one, an all pro player had been traded straight up for a bench player. I'm not sure how this kind of stuff happens but I don't want to be in a league like that.

So, that said...what should I look for when joining a league? Is it just trial and error, checking the transaction logs until I find one that seems legit?

Without having DaddyLeagues, there's no way to check out the transactions before joining, unless someone from the league tells you about the roster.

I can say that there are a few leagues here on OS where I know those examples won't be the case. Most here have trade restrictions and committees to approve trades, so while there might be head scratchers, there shouldn't be anything as egregious as you've mentioned.

Reputation. Find a league thats been around for a while, has a set of rules you like, etc.

General rule of thumb, a league with a website or forum is a good sign. If they use something like groupme even better.
