Can't get through a game without it crashing

This isn't for me, it's for a friend. But he has tried a bunch of different things and nothing has worked other than now sometimes he can get a few plays in before it crashing. He's tried over 30+ times and every time it crashes. Wondering if anyone here has any idea on fixes, I didn't see anything else about it here. I know he's tried updating his drivers, played with some settings, opened the game as administrator, put the settings down to minimum. He even bought more RAM and that didn't help.

Update your BIOS.

Reinstall Windows will likely fix it if it's not a hardware issue.

He has a 1060 with 6gb of ram

And 32 GB of ram
